The Best Ideas Are
Already Out There
We built IdeaFoundry because we believe the hardest part of building a startup shouldn't be finding an idea worth building. The internet is overflowing with users expressing exactly what they need — someone just needs to listen at scale.
IdeaFoundry is that listener. We're a small team of engineers, data scientists, and builders who got tired of watching great founders waste time and energy on problems that weren't really there — or miss the ones that were everywhere.
Our Belief
Every startup that failed because of a “no market need” problem could have been avoided. The signal was out there — in a Reddit post, a one-star review, a GitHub issue, a support ticket. IdeaFoundry exists to make sure no founder ever builds blind again.
Our Core Values
Data Over Intuition
We believe market validation shouldn't be a luxury. Every founder deserves access to real signals, not just the ones who can afford expensive research firms.
Speed to Conviction
The faster a founder can move from idea to conviction, the faster they can ship. We obsess over reducing the time between "I wonder if..." and "I know for certain."
Democratizing Intelligence
Large enterprises have market research teams. Independent builders shouldn't be at a disadvantage. IdeaFoundry levels the playing field.
Quality Over Volume
We'd rather surface 10 high-signal, deeply validated opportunities than flood you with 1,000 weak ones. Signal-to-noise ratio is everything.
How We Got Here
Elena and Kai met at a founder retreat and bonded over the same frustration: spending months on products only to discover nobody wanted them. The idea for IdeaFoundry was born on a whiteboard.
Kai built the first version of the clustering engine using a small Reddit dataset. The results were immediately compelling — patterns that would have taken weeks to surface appeared in minutes.
50 founders were invited to the private beta. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Users reported saving weeks of customer discovery research in their first sessions.
IdeaFoundry.wiki launched publicly with 150+ data sources and 40,000 indexed opportunities. 1,000+ founders signed up in the first 48 hours.
4,200+ active builders. 89,000+ opportunities indexed. 2.4M+ conversations analyzed daily. Just getting started.
Built by Builders, for Builders
We've all felt the pain of building without certainty. That shared experience is what drives everything we create.
